Welcome to Ivy Cottage, our cosy country retreat

Just a note to say that from 1st April 2023 we will no longer be offering holidays and short breaks at Ivy Cottage. After 6.5 years we have decided to hang up the rubber gloves and give the iron a well-deserved rest as we enjoy our retirement!

With its quaint beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and crackling log burner, we’ve lovingly fettled and furnished this 3-storey former granary into a comfortable holiday cottage. Suitable for couples, small families and groups of friends alike, it sleeps up to four people (plus one infant), and is complete with all the mod cons you need for an enjoyable stay.

Nestled in the village of Priest Hutton in the north Lancashire countryside, Ivy Cottage is surrounded by green fields and quiet country lanes ideal for dog walking. It's a place to get away from it all, yet is only a short drive from the motorway.

You can relax in the tranquil gardens, which are fully enclosed so perfect for your canine companions too. Or, when the weather's not so good, curl up in front of the log burner with a good book, a hand of cards, or perhaps plan your next day out while logged in to our superfast Wi-Fi.

If cooking’s your thing, the kitchen is fully equipped so that you hardly need stir from the stove. If you do fancy a change of culinary scene, a pint of real ale or a glass of fine wine, the local pub/restaurant (the dog-friendly Longlands Inn) is a picturesque mile’s stroll away.

The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland and the coastal towns and villages fringing Morecambe Bay are all within easy driving distance.

Whether you’re looking for a week away or a rejuvenating short break, Ivy Cottage is an idyllic getaway for all seasons.

We hope to welcome you soon!
